Back in service!
The Red Falcon re-entered service yesterday (4 April) at 11am after 8 weeks of intense teamwork and £2.2m of investment. Here's a few pics;

The windows are in!
The custom made windows started going in on Friday in the two new lounges on Deck A. The new lounges are fully air-conditioned and offer superb panoramic views across the Solent and Southampton Water.

New windows, new signage and new recycling station...
The first new hi-spec tinted windows were being installed tonight on the Red Falcon;
The new wayfinding signage has also started to be installed;

Progress has been great in the last week with flooring complete in the new lounges, furniture going in, new servery equipment being installed and more, here's some pics;

Work is progressing fast...
It's been a good week for the Southampton based team working on the new look Red Falcon. Both lounges are now fully weatherproof (except for the windows, they'll be fitted last!), the interiors are starting to take shape and exterior paint prep has begun.

New flooring, ceilings and wall fittings are starting go in;
Air conditioning installed in all areas;

Some great progress this week..
This week we've seen some great progress with the Red Falcon refurbishments, here's some of the highlights;
The new ceiling and wall coverings have gone in on Deck B
The floor has been stripped and is being completely resurfaced this weekend. You can see an air-conditioning unit in here too.
Work has started on fitting out the 2 new lounges on Deck A - don't worry we won't having plywood windows!!
The lower exterior of the vessel is also getting ready for painting;

Last section of the roof goes on!
The new look Red Falcon project is going well. At the end of last week the last piece of the new lounge roof went on, here are some pics;

The new lounges are progressing well!
Construction of the new lounges on the top deck of the Red Falcon is making good progress, with just a few panels left to complete the roof.
The new lounges will afford superb panoramic views through the wide aspect windows;

All bar one!
Work on the first new custom built Steam Cafe Bar has been started this week. There's a new product range launching when the Falcon re-enters service, watch this space! For now here's some pics of the new bar going in;

The roof is on!
The team have been busy this week getting the new roof on the new Southampton (or North) lounge of the Red Falcon.
They have also made good progress with the new Isle of Wight (or South) lounge dropping in the new wall panels in preparation for the roof.

Great progress this week!
Despite the storms, some great progress has been made on the new look Red Falcon this week.
The aircon, cabling and new fixtures have started to be fitted inside.
